칸쿤으로 향하는 스피릿 항공(Spirit Airlines) 여객기가 23일 금요일 필라델피아 국제공항에 여러 차례 번개를 맞은 후 비상착륙했다고 연방항공청(FAA) 대변인이 밝혔다.
스피릿 항공 2214편 에어버스 321편은 승무원이 낙뢰를 보고한 후 동부 표준시 오전 11시경 안전하게 착륙했다고 관리들이 말했다. 비행기는 칸쿤 국제공항으로 향하던 중이였다.
부상자는 보고되지 않았다. 비행기에 몇 명의 승객이 탑승했는지는 불분명하다.
FAA는 사건을 조사하고 있다.
