별도의 뉴저지 주립공원에 있는 두 개의 수영 구역이 수질 문제로 인해 추후 공지가 있을 때까지 폐쇄된다고 관리들이 말했다.
8월 27일(토) 오후 10시 30분경 뉴저지 주립공원 관리들은 헌터던(Hunterdon) 카운티의 라운드 밸리 휴양지(Round Valley Recreation Area)가 수질 문제로 인해 추후 공지가 있을 때까지 수영을 금지한다고 발표했다.
관리들은 수질 불량 통지의 정확한 원인을 밝히지 않았다. 공원 관리들은 또한 주말 동안 케이프 메이(Cape May)의 벨플레인 주립 산림(Belleplain State Forest)에 있는 누미(Nummy) 호수가 또한 수질 악화로 인해 추후 공지가 있을 때까지 수영을 금지한다고 발표했다.
