크로거 마켓, 애크미 마켓 246억 달러에 인수

미국에서 가장 큰 두 슈퍼마켓 체인이 합병된다. 한때 인기 있는 필라델피아 식료품 체인점인 애크미 마켓의 소유주인 알버트슨 컴퍼니(Albertsons Companies)는 경쟁업체인 크로커(Kroger)에 246억 달러에 인수된다. 펜실베니아, 뉴저지, 델라웨어, 메릴랜드, 뉴욕 및 코네티컷에서 150개 이상의 애크미 매장을 운영하고 있다. 

애크미 마켓은 Safeway, Vons, Shaw’s 및 Jewel-Osco를 포함하는 Albertsons가 소유한 12개 이상의 식료품점 브랜드 중 하나다. 크로커의 가장 큰 슈퍼마켓 브랜드로는 Dillons, Ralphs 및 Harris Teeter가 있다.
